I have never claimed the Beale Papers were written as a hoax, but as a dime novel with ciphers added as a parlor entertainment for sale exclusively in 1885 Lynchburg.
It are those who claim t have solved the ciphers that have mutated the dime novel into a hoax.

On another thread you stated that you never read Franklin's solved Beale ciphers that have been posted on TN for all to read, now on post #78 you judge Franklin's work as "fiction".
You have constantly subjected all who read the Beale threads with a boastful Lafcapades of solved Beale ciphers without the slightest bit of supporting proof,while Franklin freely posted his.
It is easy to pass judgement on another's solution while claiming the "real" solve, without revealing that solve for all to examine.

Jean Laf, you are confusing two different works of mine. The first work I copyrighted, published and posted here on the forum was not fiction. The second work I did, "Lost Diary of Thomas J. Beall" was 99 percent non-fiction, the only part that was fiction was the diary itself. That said, I hope it clears the air that my decipherment was not fiction. The decipherment was 70 percent correct with the same letter falling on the same cypher sometimes eight different times for the same cypher and the same letter. The only fiction was the diary itself everything else is fact. All the people in the book are real. So you can claim all you want until you recover the Beale Treasure. In Your Face.
