if this is the correct place to post this. I do know what it is, its a painting, but just wondering if anybody can give em more info on it. It was found in a home that was getting demolished. It is on canvas and is definitely an original. I don't know much about paintings, but I think it is a very cool looking one.

I don't know why but my first impression was Portuguese. Can you read the signature?

I don't think this piece had anything on the back, I'll need to check again when I get home. There are other ones that have a sticker with a serial number on the back, I just cant remember if this was one of them. I will try and post another closeup picture of the signature. I forgot to load the pictures on my laptop last night, so I'll need to wait until I get home.

The problem is when you blow it up you lose pixels. He needs to take a picture of it.

Signature= ENDOR? :dontknow: Possibly Endor Heller. His works sell at places like Christies. He was active in the early 1900's.
Looks French, possibly early 1900's.
The painting is based on one point perspective.

Hope this helps. Sorry it took so long, been down with the flu and not really wanting to do much.

Interesting picture :icon_thumleft:
It appears to me, to be a crayon or pastel, plus water colour (color ;D)
is it?

Just an observation; The central point of focus in the work is 'a figure, waving a huge stock whip, driving (it seems) two harnessed animals, of indeterminate breed, at speed (?) down an avenue of cobblestones, where people are taking a stroll'

I can't make out the signature.
