That's three gold coins in as many years for me.
It's a hot day today but with a nice breeze that makes it tolerable despitenthe temps and so I headed onto some pasture on a farm just outside an old village here in Lancashire England.
Was only swinging the coil for 10-15 minutes and right out of the blue this little blighter popped up. Could just see the rim sticking out the turf and knew instantly i'd struck gold.
The rest of the session was terrible but I really didnt care to be honest.
Came up a solid 18 on the Nox 800 at onky a few inches deep.
Happy hunting folks, keep swinging those coils as You have to be in it to win it.

Youre welcome to come detecting for free in East Lancashire/west Yorkshire with me anytime you just happen to be passing pal.
I wont wait in though very few Americans venture into these shires. They tend to head toward York sone 40 miles to my east and the lake district to my north.
My neck of the woods isnt exactly the England they like to sell to you folks. Dont get me wrong it has all the right nice little hamlets and villages and is surrounded by so.e beautiful scenery however the towns are formerly industrial and have suffered decades of neglect and also a fair bit of the old "enrichment". Your more likely to come across Junkies and wannabe drill rappers than Hugh Grant in his tweeds.😆

Just look at that axe head. Simply amazing what they could produce back then.
So, both of those two relics would be celtic?
(Pardon my abysmal lack of British history.)
