Nobody in to cars, or drag racing here ?

Yes, into motors of any kind. I've been through different phases, quads, dirt bikes, motorcycles, cars, trucks....Always wanted to race! Just never really had the cash for it or something would happen in life and would have to sell the project. I've had many projects that never completed. The 2 that were close were a 72 340 duster and a 92 AWD TSI Talan that was ready to go then my wife got into a bad car wreck and had to sell it to pay medical bills. Now.....I'm playing with a 12 valve cummins, I've never messed with diesels and wanted to play with one of those. I got the truck a year or two ago and end plan is to run it down the quarter mile. But life happens and now waiting to buy parts to build my own tranny solid enough to handle mods to the motor, since the tranny is the weakest link. I was working on a few cars for a friends youtube channel, but none of them were actually mine, just the guy in the shadows off camera.:laughing7:

I lnow exactly how it is for life to get in the way of a build.. What youtube channel ? Oh, and yeah, let's see a picture of your truck.

This is my baby.. A all original 72 Mustang Mach 1, Q code Cleveland, 4 Speed car with 43k miles.. Dad brought me home from the hospital in it when I was born, I just started a full restoration on it..

How it sits now.

Me and it somewhere around 1975 when we both had that new smell.

Guess I might as well post a picture of the Brick while I'm at it.. The Brick is my 94 Lightning.. Funny story, this is the third time I've owned this truck.. First time I bought it I kept it spotless, under the hood was as clean as the rest of the truck.. I kept it stock for awile, then lowered it, threw some big and littles on it, plus a few other things..

I loved the truck but was wanting to build a 60's period correct drag car, and the guy that bought the truck new was pestering the hell out of me to sell it back to him, so in a moment of insanity I did.. Unfortunately after he got it home, he yanked the engine and sold it, and the truck sat outside 6 years until I bought it back..

This is what it looks like now, as you can imagine I was not a happy camper..

Luckily most the paint was ok after good pressure washing, but the hood was screwed, as was a few other spots..

So fast forward to last Christmas, I stumbled onto a old B model John Deere that was in great shape, at a good price.. My dad has always wanted one, so I sold the Lightning to a friend of mine to buy the tractor for my dad.. Well my friend is one of those guys that doesn't keep anything very long and put it up for sale, and there was a guy trying to come up with the money to buy it and put a LS engine in it, I couldn't let that happen so I bought it back.. I guess it wants to stay with me, so I'll not sell it again, lol After I'm done restoring the Mach 1, I plan on sticking a Coyote and turbo in it..

How do you like those tracks, is it any better or worse of a ride than tires ?

Rolls over pivot tracks like they are not even there, which makes it nice because I can get done in half the time.

Those 12 valves are my favorite engine ever. All mechanical FURY!

No my truck eats and poops Prius!!! Prius owners hate me! I have two 4in stacks coming out of the bed puking black smoke when pulling a trailer down the highway. It turns my white trailer black! :laughing7: There are pics somewhere on this site of it....I haven't changed it much and it's still a major project!!!

if its that cummins I bet it self lubricates the engine bay as well :laughing7:

Roger your cobra still wins. I don’t think I recall seeing one with the top on before.

View attachment 1906425I like old tractors and new ones too, post a pic.

I have one sitting in my Grandmothers yard. I had plans of restoring it and to be honest not even sure what it is exactly. It has to be 30's or 40's farmall or IH. The spot on the front to hand crank it, luckily my grandfather had a 6v starter on it..I no way want to mess with the crank. I'll try to find a pic...You'll probably know exactly what it is ..I don't remember but the letter "H" rings a bell, I may be mixed up and it was one of the most sold small tractors of it's day. I actually used it to mow a 3 acre field up till about 3 years ago.4 cyl, had a lift run by the exhaust(which is long gone) One day, I'll drag it out of there and restore it. All the implements pretty much rotted away from sitting and my grandfather scraped them before he passed. The only thing left is the pull behind mower deck. I also collect small tractors, I have a 50 something Bolens, Suburban 14, Wheel horse, I like anything older.
