This hobby always has a way of causing me to smile. Either from a super find
or even just something silly. Today it caused one because of yet, another strange
find! Given the place I was hunting, this item had NEVER crossed my mind!

In fact, I'd never even seen one before! LOL

Watch, you'll pick up on it. :)

Had some time so I took a walk around a local, fairly new, school yard:

Just a little overdone toasted wheatie. Near as I can tell, 1934-D

This was the one that caused one of my smiles today.

Sounded like just another penny, I dug it up. I said, no not a penny?
Maybe a token?
Then, I saw the format of the picture and words and without reading them.
I said, Oh! One of those presidential coin thingies!
I looked a lil closer to see which one.

"Sir Alexander Busta....wha?!?!?!?!?" :icon_scratch:

Then I flipped it over.

I laughed right out loud! LOL

Who woulda thunk it!? LOL

I was glad I bothered to bend over and pick up this boot!
It's not metal, eyeball find.

But, when I got home, Fishy grabbed this and took off. Blingie took off after
and I snuck in the house without any bling! LOL

Dunno what it is but I gotta admit, Fishy knows style! ;)

Thanks for peeking!

Very Nice! Each one of those i have always wanted to find, and in great shape too.I just figured the places you have to go to are mostly more modern overlaid judging by some of the stuff you have been finding. But man those are killer finds.

Oh yeah! I meant to mention that those best finds?

http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/my-best-finds/291333-some-very-past-finds.html

They were all dug and I can still point to the exact spots today, where each of them was dug up, (it was almost 40 years ago!). Fascinating, ain't it? I wonder if the Earth has changed that much since I dug those, or, if it's just the extra time in the ground. A limit, so to speak, before coins are just trashed, depending on make up. :dontknow:
