Nice knives

Anyone have a nice knife form they would like to show?

This piece was laying on a table at a local farm retirement auction 3 miles from me a few years ago. It’s just over 4.5 inches long.
The home place was in a very desirable location right above a creek. I asked the owner about it, he said he found it nearby. Only artifact he had ever picked up. I suspect the place holds much more. It’s along the same creek most of the sites I hunt are on.
i couldn’t stay long enough for it to sell so I left a little cash with a friend and got it.

I love this one.

It's broke and I don't what kind of base it may have had, but pretty unique for around here both in morphology and material (which might be franciscan chert).

2.5" long.

That's an amazing knife.

4.5 inches is pretty big.

Lovely stone.

The blade shape is awesome, very knife-like.

Uniface knife, hornstone I think, cool curve, backside shows what I would guess is the 'rind' of the original chert cobble? Is this Paleo perhaps? Estate sale find.

This point came from a Woodland shell midden but paleo points have been found just offshore and at the site. I think this point is just a weirdo, can't be typed but think it is Woodland. Thick, too. Strange work unlike most other points from the site.

Beautiful knife, Its similar to the points I would find in missouri, when I was stationed to Whiteman AFB. I was amazed at the size being somewhat larger than the size of points I find here on our farm. Great work in possessing it. Thanks for sharing,

That’s a nice one I would think older than woodland with that style base

Those are wonderful, everybody. Here's large knife that I found on a lake bed nearly 25 years ago. All that was showing was the middle of the blade body about the size of a half dollar. The size and the fact that it was whole shocked me as I brushed away the sand and mussel shells.

Two ulu knives, aka semi-lunar knives. The ground slate comb-back ulu on top is from Swansea, Ma. The chipped ulu, below, is a personal find from central Rhode Island....
