Hi all, I haven't posted a today's find in a while.
I did a little beach hunting, something I don't often do. first Target of the day, submerged with weight belt, snorkel and mask, when I pulled it from the scoop I assumed it would be plated but then I recalled the numbers and low tone and usually plated read High, only has maker mark no karat stamp. next I look for signs of wear around the hole and corners, none to be seen, and it just had the look. got home did a rub, 10 karat 14 karat 18 karat acids didn't touch it, 22 karat acid made it disappear in a few seconds Yahoo! I got a gold Trifecta on this beach, 14k synthetic emerald ring and a nice 14k bracelet, rather unusual design, it really only gives a signal from the Central part and the clasp,
Didn't really ever test detecting chain until recently I am amazed at how hard it is to get a signal from them I searched a long time for the chain that must have gone with the crucifix I marked the spot and will return with 5 inch coil.
I guess going for the old stuff isn't the only exciting digs.
Thanks for looking and happy Hunting everybody.
