Newcomer intro

Hi, I posted once several years ago.but work interfered with fun stuff. So I have not yet started detecting.. I live in the Gloucester, MA area (USA) and I'm looking forward to getting started. I have a Garrett Master Hunter 2 , former property of our Embassy in Germany, looks like new, has a4.5 inch Crossfire Sniper coil & an 8 inch Crossfire Supreme Deepseeker coil. I guess it's an older unit but since I own it I guess I'll start with it. Maybe looking for a local club or information as well as comments on the suitability of my detector.
