New treasure theory?

Pretzel logic, my friend, that folds into itself upon when real facts are scrutinized.
You have not presented the "evidence" of the chain of connection from the "keeper of secrets" Poussin to Teniers to Scheemaker, only that Admiral Anson, a great navigator had a connection to Isaac Newton an alleged Grand Master of the proven fictional Priory of Sion.
You need to move beyond Dan Brown and other novelist authors of populist parodies published for profit and invest in real researched academic books of history.

How come being a Templar like you said you were you say you are not an expert on Templars? I have a little trouble understanding this.

You think this is a tantrum?

Cheers, Loki
Not surprised, you seem to have trouble understanding a lot of things

... Admiral Anson was known as a great navigator and both him and his brother who owned Shugborough had a connection to Isaac Newton who was named as one of the Grand Masters of the Priory of Sion...
The PRIORY OF SION is based on a set of documents, "DOSSIERS SECRETS", probably created by Pierre Plantard and Philippe de Cherisey who, in 1954, placed these documents with France's Bibliotheque Nationale as a claim of a real organization existence.
In this "Dossiers Secrets" it is claim that the POS was formed in 1099 by Godefroi de Bouillon and ordered the forming of the Knights Templar, and in 1188, split from the Templars.
The "Dossiers Secrets" also contain an extensive membership list since its alleged beginning with a who's who list of each centuries leading men of science, literature, and art, some named as "Grand Master".
*NOTE* There is NO mention of the Priory of Sion before Plantard's 1954 registration. Plantard claimed he was elected Grand Master of the POS in 1981, and was the descendant of Jean de Plantard, the last descendant of the Merovingian Kings of France that claim Sangreal bloodline descent from Jesus and Mary.
Plantard's claim of Merovingian descent as well as his documents have been discredited and were proved to have been created by him as proof of his "royal bloodline".

True, and to add a point, Plantard later admitted in 1993 that he fabricated the whole story about the Priory of Scion as a result of Being investigated by a Judge during the Pelat affair.

Loki has also presented an excellent example of how random unrelated facts can be manipulated to fabricate a pseudo history of fabricated connection that never existed outside of one's imagination to support a pet theory.

As well as a total and complete lack of knowledge about the topic

Most people on this site take their research seriously, it is a shame that we all must continually endure this pseudo history. Answering to this is such a waste of time. We need a truth in statements rule

Scheemakers may have built it but the monument was comissioned by an Anson. Admiral Anson was known as a great navigator and both him and his brother who owned Shugborough had a connection to Isaac Newton who was named as one of the Grand Masters of the Priory of Sion. Oh, and I don't think I ever mentioned proof, although I have used the word evidence.

There is little doubt that the secret code on the monument represents a set of coordinates, the inscription even uses the letters D for degrees and M for minutes and we mustn't forget that Anson was famous for his navigation skills! Why would a reversed copy of Poussins (the keeper of secrets)painting have an inscription that indicates a set of coordinates unless the person responsible is following up on a Poussin theme? Simple logic my friend!

Cheers, Loki
Simple.....yes, logical, not so much

All history is pseudo? A good researcher has to be able to sift through everything and know what is right and what is wrong, what is fabricated and what is made up. You also have to look at the circumstances or events that were going on in the area where this research came from, there could be hidden information due to suppression from the governing entity at that time in history. During the 16th and 17th centuries especially in England under Bloody Mary and others to let out any information she or her council of supporters did not like you were swiftly put to death. That is the reason everything from that time period and after had to be encoded and hidden or you had to use someone else's name such as "William Shakespeare. Also you can not look at information researched from those time eras through the eyes of our time, it is all different. Nothing holds true forever except for "GOD" Everything else is left for interpretation by logical thinking. We still had "witch burnings" in America in Salem and some still want to put everything that is different to DEATH.

Everyone looks at the King James Bible 1611 and think because words are not spelled like we think they should be spelled that the people in those days were ignorant and could not spell. They misspelled words for a reason for an ENCRYPTED CODE. Don't believe me? Count the periods and commas on the first page of Genesis and the last page of Revelation and what do you come up with 151. What is the gematria of Christ Jesus? 151

Its Scheemakers, and he had nothing to do with the design of the Shugborough monument or its inscription, he was simply the artist that had been commisioned by the Ansons. Just as Dan Brown had nothing to do with the creation of the Priory of Sion. And, btw, there was an original Priory of Sion in Jerusalem during the First Crusade.

The actual story of the modern Priory of Sion was published in the book "Holy Blood Holy Grail", which drew some of its information from what would later be identified as a hoax (not the fault of the three author's), BUT, all of what was published was not part of a hoax, and only someone who carefully reads the book would understand that. There was a continuing line of personal from 1099 onward that did protect the "Underground Stream" and is depicted in many of Poussins works. The list of Priory of Sion Grand Masters throughout the years names men and woman who as it turns out were all interconnected with the Underground Stream. Even with current methods of research it would be almost impossible to make many of those connections without a previous list to work from. The list as published is somewhat skewed and there actually was not a large group needing a Grand Master called the Priory of Sion only individuals with help from some friends keeping the Underground Stream flowing! The last for sure member of this group was Jean Cocteau whose work "The Cruxifiction at the Church of Notre Dame de France points to his connection with The Rosy Cross.

In my own humble opinion the Underground Stream flows all the way to Nova Scotia!

Cheers, Loki

So, there is another priory of Scion? and the authors knew about the fake one and the real one? Yet decided to publish info about both of them?

pretty convenient buckaroo

Alan m, please end the animosity in your posts now, post by our rules.

Your only source of the Priory of Sion and this "Underground Stream" is from the pseudo history book, "Holy Blood, Holy Grail,
"a work thoroughly debunked by scholars and critics alike...one of the all-time great works of pop pseudohistory"
-THE NEW YORK TIMES BOOK REVIEW

So what were the qualifications of these authors that you have deemed as "well respected Templar historians" that wrote this pseudohistorical novel that long on conspiracy and short on factual evidence that the three authors admitted it was presented as a "plausible hypothesis" and that none of the three "actually believed it to be true".
Michael Baigent-New Zealand photo-journalist
Richard Leigh-American writer of fiction
Henry Lincoln- British television actor and co-screenwriter for the Doctor Who television series.

It is no wonder why Christian scholars, academic historians, and critics have deemed this work a baseless concoction of mangled facts assembled to create their "plausible hypothesis" which they believed not to be true.

"The "Holy Blood and Holy Grail", is a classic example of the conspiracy theory of history. It is essentially a text which proceeds by innuendo, not by scholarly debate...essentially, their whole argument is an ingeniously constructed series of suppositions"
-Richard Barber, Distinguished British Historian

"There is harm in strings of lurid falsehoods and distorted reasoning. The method bends the mind the wrong way, an insidious and real corruption"
-Marina Warner, American Historian, remarks concerning "holy Blood, Holy Grail" and the other pseudohistorical works of that genre.

"These kind of books do appeal to an enormous audience who believe them to be history-Robert McCrum, Editor of OBSERVER NEWSPAPER

The PRIORY of SION never existed until it was created by Pierre Plantard in 1956, and to quote it as a source of any kind of evidence or proof is acknowledging a belief in the created pseudohistory of non historians publishing fabricated conspiracy lore to that audience that needs to believe that it is real history that has been suppressed by Church and State.

ECS, If there is nothing to what these people are writing, I only want to ask you one question. Have you ever read about "Henrietta Lacks" lived down my way near Clover, Virginia? She is the reason you have antibiotics today. She is the reason a cure was found for polio and all the other diseases of mankind. She had an "IMMORTAL GENE" in her body. If there is no Holy Blood, Holy Grail, where exactly did this come from.

Somehow I seem to have lost the line of reasoning. Somehow I can't see a group of aristocrats digging the pit. Where did the laborers disappear to ?

The first person to directly document the use of moulds to treat infections was John Parkinson (1567—1650).

Flemming discovered penicillin and "manufactured" antibiotics 1928.

Two separate teams, led by John Kolmer and Maurice Brodie respectively, developed polio vaccines and reported their results at the annual meeting of the American Public Health Association in November 1935.

Henrietta Lacks didn't donate cells to research until 1951 (via a biopsy), so anything found in her cells would have been from much after that.

Here genes are the result of millions of years of genetic evolution, same as everyone's and every critter with a metabolism.

That is what you believe. Not what the facts are?

Makes no difference all I was referring to was the "Immortal Cell" have you seen the movie or read the book?

This paranoid belief of "suppression from the governing entity at that time in history" phrase is frequently employed by quasi-historians, and has given rise to what Distinguished British Historian, Richard Barber, termed as "classic conspiracy theory of history" where there are hidden messages in paintings, hidden codes in the Bible, secret ciphers in Shakespeare's works , which Shakespeare being illiterate, didn't write, and random unrelated facts and quotes assembled to create an ongoing parody of actual history and insulting to true dedicated professional and lettered academic historians.

Paranoid belief? That is saying a mouth full. You must think everyone is paranoid except for your's truly? Sorry to disappoint you but get your own house in order before you throw off on your neighbors.
