Haven’t posted in years...Got a new permission and got about 6 hours into a true virgin spot no cellar hole just a random field...my buddy has a similar pile we got 19 coppers together including 3 Connecticut’s a fugio and a jersey copper, and I got one silver so far a 1790 half reale, And my oldest half cent 1797 capped, and some awesome buttons and relics... just added some pics the one with batwing buckle I just found those tonight a quick hunt

Great hunt! This gives me some hope, since I live northeast of Albany, and I haven't found a single decent site recently.

I definitely got lucky on this one a mile from my house...I’ve been eyeballing it for 2 years finally knocked on the door 300 acres and the owner is clearing brush around a cellar hole I haven’t even detected yet lol a very rare permission

WOW!! You're not kidding you got on a virgin site! Places like that don't come along very often, at least not for me
Also it's from my favorite time frame because you can find colonial and early American relics and coins on a place like that.

The item with the 4 on it & star on the reverse is rather odd. Never seen a bullion or coin weight like it, but that seems the best guess?
