New MXSport.

The $799.00 is retail most dealers will sell it lower, I've cut a $100.00 off retail before from a White's dealer. HH

I will wait for one on the used market since Whites warranty is transferable. If it performs as well and has the ergonomics of the MX-5 I will like it.

If i thought it would do half descent in wet sand i would buy one!

Nope she ain't going to work in wet salt Amy better than an ATP or MX-5 mxt or whatever.

Fletch Advanced Digital Signal Processing algorithms actually has allowed one single frequency machine which i own to actually work in the wet very salty wet sand down here with good depth 8-10" without loss of depth at maximum sensitivity. Unlike my, G2, Gamma, T2, ATP friends F75 and and others i have tried which failed. If Whites, which currently along with FT are my favorites, comes out with a single frequency VLF that can filter and negate the Natrium and Chlorine in the same manner and depth/speed in a waterproof package. Ill get rid of said original machine in a heartbeat !

I'm giggling.. :laughing7:

Southdigger: Which machine would that be??

The Fors Core almost matches my DFX for depth in wet salty sand with Fox's program at PA3 and 77 sens. I prefer the DFX for beach work though, its one of my favs.

The DFX was the first White's machine I ever bought. When I upgraded to the V3 it made me want to throw rocks at my old DFX.

Yeah the Fors Core I've heard works well in salt wet sand. The Makro Racer is also stable in the wet salt. Deep too.

If you are ok with 6-8" depth then it probably is a fine choice. I have used several single frequency VLF's with beach modes and yes they ran ok once I got them settled in but I like getting more depth than that.

In North Carolina (black sand) the Vaquero has done about as good as any other single freq. I have used, but like Fletch said, you better be looking for "fresh drops". I just hate to spend much on a machine to use 2-3 weeks a year and be useless or not like it here at home...

$800 sounds about right, after the discount $700-$750.
It also comes with the adapter for using your standard headphones.
Will there be an adapter for the standard MXT coils? or will the current connector on the standard coils be good enough for the 10' limited.:icon_scratch: We will just need to wait and see.:laughing7:

what coils do you use?

The sovereign or the sand shark are about as cheap as you are going to find to beach hunt with. Neither are going to do well in your soil at home if it is anything like the VA I have hunted in. You may get the Sovereign to run ok with the right coil, but I don't think it will beat your ATGold there.

As a new member and a savvy buyer, here are my questions/concerns.

1. It looks like a Treasure/TreasurePro, same style display etc. It looks like a waterproof TreasurePro.

2. Is being touted as the newest model in the MXT line, which is awesome! But... If it is the newest latest greatest waterproof model in this line "above the treasure series" how is it less expensive than an MXT? I understand that electronic engineers can fit magic in all sorts of cool places. But I just don't physically see, or understand why they would work so hard putting out the new treasure series detectors then suddenly abandon that track and come out with this. Using logical thinking here, the MXSport is most likely a waterproof enhanced TreasurePro. I could be wrong, but either way it looks very nice, modern, and solid! I'd buy it.

It looks like a TreasurePro, true, but is it just a waterproof TreasurePro? I know you're new, but your "savvy" so let me ask you the following:
What is the operating frequency of the TreasurePro? Of the MXSport? the Mxt?
What are the search modes of the TreasurePro? Of the MXSport? the Mxt?
What are the TID choices of the TreasurePro? Of the MXSport? the Mxt?
Now, being savvy, between the TreasurePro and the Mxt, setting looks aside, to which is the MXSport most similar?
