Never thought I would find part of old needle and which I think is a medicine bottle in same area. That SOB stuck me good lol.

I'm now just waiting for deer season to be over to hit a few spots on my days off. It can't come soon enough. Of course I'm excited to be off work for next 6 days to spend with my wife and son. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Oh and here's a large hornets nest on that property...wow

Sharps are always a concern when digging.

Nice wasp nest.

I leave them, then the woodpeckers takes care of the nests, after they're dormant. Some good feed for them.

I hope your hornets weren’t injecting steroids! Who needs muscle-bound hornets with roid rage!😡

Or I should say nest was abandon
Generally the wasps die off, or abandoned the nest. Though as the local wasp removal guy does for nests that he keeps for displaying.

"Put the nest in the freezer for a week."
Just to kill off any eggs/larvae.

Damn...that needle looks like it would hurt! Sorry you got stuck. I cut my hand open on a broken bottle top earlier this summer...I guess those our the hazards of this hobby.

I'm going to put it in my garage. I like to keep interesting things on display
