new laws for selling gold(up-date)

Them folks we elect are SUPPOSED to be our representatives - their job is to follow the constitution and look out for our interests.

Can't remember the last time that really happened, though. Our representatives look out for themselves, and only 1/2 the population is ever really represented - and even then, its not all the time.

I do believe that "the people" are on the doorstep of saying "enough is enough".

That idiotic Nobel award might just be the last "straw".

Well, I'm not a gentleman and I'm almost positive Mrs. O isn't either. :tongue3:

And if you'll reread the title of this thread you will see the word "laws". Since laws are written by politicians (and activist judges) some mention of politics is appropriate here.

I must admit -Shortstack has made a good point.

Which leads to another point- Precious metals are a worthwhile topic of discussion. However the so called "politicians" have taken the liberty of using precious metals as a bargaining chip lately.
Do to this fact alone they are a good part responsible for being pulled into the topic being tabled here !

And then there's the problem of what to do with that word on each coin both gold and silver..."Liberty"...Hhhhmmm- dilemmas dilemmas...

GOD save the Queen and the US to boot !!!

Greenspan, and whatever cohorts go along with him, has been accused, and has had an ongoing battle for about 8 years, for manipulating the gold market.

First is just one of the complaints filed, the second is simply an update - I thought the whole deal was dead in the water, but, apparently not.
I first read of it in IMCJ.

This is just 2 examples of several investigations and complaints filed in the last few years. They are not all 8 years old, either.

In one that I read in IMCJ, they accused Greenspan of "shorting" gold, and selling gold that we either did not own, had no control over or hadn't even been mined yet.
