I received a new Bounty Hunter Time Ranger Pro Tuesday. I have only been able to view YT videos, study the manual , and do air tests due to weather. I thought at first I had bought a dud. I assembled the detector and installed a brand new battery and turned the detector on and nothing happened. I removed the battery and tested it with my DMM and it showed good. After the 3rd time of installing the battery, the detector booted up and everything works. I think there may have been a film of something on either the batt contacts or the the detector. The discrimination and notching functions on this detector are really neat. I the notch width feature is very useful. The serial number shows a mfg date of 2024. The last detector I bought was the F2 Fisher in 2012 and it still looks and works like new. I look foward to tryin the TR Pro out as soon as the ground dries up. We have had beaucoup rain here followed by our last arctic blast for the year. The daffodils and tulip trees are blooming so spring is here.
