That is nice....you should Google Northern Michigan golf courses...Arnold Palmer designed some courses there...I hit some about 10 years ago....then I gave the game up.

I was actually in Carmel yesterday and had lunch at the Pebble Beach course. I just about had to take out a loan to pay for it, but it was a beautiful day over there. How long out are the tee times these days? I looked into playing there a number of years ago and there was nearly a year wait. It was only $450 back then too.

The green fee jumped to $525...and to play pebble you need to stay at the resort for $900 a night...we have tee times at Spyglass Hill golf course (owned by pebble beach) with a option to upgrade to pebble beach if they have a cancelation the day of...I'll be in Santa Cruz for a wedding in October...very excited to see the area

Santa Cruz tends to be a little dirty, especially around the boardwalk area. But the Monterey and Carmel area about 45 minutes south of Santa Cruz is stunningly beautiful. You will love it. If a one room shanty with an outhouse didn't cost over a million bucks I'd live in Carmel.

Wow....I gave it up because it takes a long time to play a round....people are slow as heck on the course.....it is expensive as all get out....and I never even contemplated playing the really upscale courses. For those prices it should come with a ride along with a sober Tiger Woods helping your swing path.
