I needed to get out of the 100+ degree heat that we are having here in the valley so the wife and I took a trip to the coast. I did a little crabbing and caught a few dungeness before the season ends at the end of the month. Planning ahead, I took my backpacking cook set so we were able to cook one up while sitting in a secluded cove on a beach we had to ourselves. To eat a freshly caught crab with some locally made sourdough bread while sitting on the beach watching the sunset, is the epitome of California living.

Oh yeah, I’m also last.

That would be a great day. Unfortunately here in Michigan (land of 1 million lakes) you have to watch where your fish come from. The great lakes one can only eat a small amount of fish per year. When I did my fly in trip to Canada....0 pollutants and we literally would cook fish on the shoreline and listen to the wolves howling nearby. It was fantastic fish and scenery....bald eagles, moose. Was there 1 week and didnt cover 20% of the lakes we were on. Fantastic.

Today was pretty productive until the downpours put a stop to all outdoor activities.
The trench for the electrical service to the loft is complete. Now I have 2 circuit breaker boxes and the main box to connect and we have power for my loft.

I want that machine. Could do all sorts of stuff.
And almost being killed by a goddess is not fun, tbh.

Just finished some removable trays for 18 nestboxes. I moved them from the barn to the loft.

That is cool. But seriously what is the end game here?
As far as walking Tippy I would take her for a walk in the woods. But only I would return if Tippy was staying in cat form. Maybe that is a bit harsh But I have seen enough cats to last a couple of lifetimes.
