Stumbled across my first jasper point yesterday. I have no idea what type it is. I had a few people tell me that it is a Halifax, but I’ve never seen one made of jasper. The large flake scar on one side almost looks like a flute, but I'm probably wishful thinking. Any help is appreciated.

What state was this found in? Jasper is directly related to volcanic activity. There are no fossils in Jasper. Your point has fossils. It’s chert.
