Had a free afternoon the other day and wanted to get dirty....Chuck Norris likes being dirty....figured I've used up all my coin mojo for the foreseeable future (thanks again for the replies on that one) and needed a relic fix so I took the drive south to one of my farms. Got a late start on the day and the 2 hour drive took over 3 thanks to the ever present mystery traffic on the Garden State Parkway....
All of our fields are under crops so I stopped by a small go-to farm that dates back to the early 1700s and saw that there were pumpkins planted. The farmer said "go for it". This field has been good to us, always find a little something....never a lot but always something. Found that he had put a deeeeeep plow on it when the pumpkins went in and there was glass and pottery everywhere and plenty of signals around to satisfy the relic urge.
Found a few flat buttons including a tombac, cool brass lock, a once gold plated copper wedding band and some assorted doo-dads....nothing earth shattering but I'll take a few buttons and stuff any time I go out....that's what I dig for

Had to cut the hunt short and get home so I only had 2 hours in the field......5+ hours driving for a few buttons....would I do it again.....YES in a heartbeat!!!! Weather looks good for Sunday so hoping to get back down south to some early sites and beat on it like Chuck Norris beats on Steven Segal
