That is strange. Mine is the exact same thing. Appears to be steel, rather heavy for its size.

This is the oddest thing i have ever seen and i cannot think of anything that this could have been used for. I dug this one on the grounds of a Rodeo parking area. It was about 3-4 inches down.

Looks like it might be a special key to park equipment?

The park that the one from Milk86 forum. The park only had normal playground equipment there on site that I can remember I played in the park starting about 1975 when we moved into that area. There was not a shed or any type of water park type stuff. Could have been brought in from tractors for mowing the grass maybe??

The ring in the center looks made to put a finger in. Both ends seems like they might fit into something else, and the longer end makes me think for some reason that it might take a spring over it. So maybe part of a latch of some kind, from a door or a gate?

It seems awfully big and heavy duty to be a key of any kind. AS far as a latch, i'm not sure. It is a very strange looking thing whatever it is. The shaft on one side is round and smooth. The shaft on the other side is kind like looking at the end of a phillips head screwdriver. My curiosity is killing me on this one, LOL.

Hello, there.
Well, from the looks of it.....can't tell how big it is from the picture, but.....looks like a part off an old yoke for hitching together a team of oxen, horses, whatever. That's what it reminds me of. Good find.:laughing7:
