Got a new Mine Lab Excaliber 2 a few weeks ago and have been looking forward to hitting the beach to try it out. This week we're on vacation and I've been walking the beach a few hours each morning. Today is our 5th day here and as of this morning I've found 5 rings, and a ton of change, which I'll post with my final count this coming weekend. This morning I found this beautiful cameo brooch in the slew way. Not quite sure what to make of it, can anyone identify what I've found exactly? It appears to have 8 diamonds encircling it. Not sure if that's ivory or not. Does anyone know how to determine this?

That's a good-looking and fun item to find.

This must be my faux-bling year. I've gotten a rectangular brooch with a lot of rhinestones, a hatpin or lapel pin with some fake pearls (and old metal "leaves"), and even a plastic hair clip with rhinestones that looked serious before I washed it.

This cameo has more intrinsic value than all 3 of mine put together, I'd say. Nice item.

Very nice piece and great job of cleaning it up.

My apologies sir, I did not mean it that way.

Well done armchairqb, I notice that you are fairly new to the forum so you probably don't know the whole story behind all the comments you recieved about your post. For a while around here every time someone posted something nice there were a few folks that liked to cast doubts as to the honesty of the story of how and where things were found. No harm no foul.

That's a nice find. Probably not terribly valuable, but still a nice find. Great shape, too.
Looks like that "milk" glass from the depression era.
