Hi everyone,

I need some help in identifying this old sword for a friend. It was passed down along with some German WWII relics. I don't know if it is German and it appears to be a "dress" sword to me as it is short and the blade has never been sharpened.

Thanks for your help.

I'm guessing that it says WKC Solingen below the knight on the blade? THis would be Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie, who made German swords during both world wars, but I think the mark varied a bit, with this being an earlier mark (WWI), but am not certain!

Plus Kindersabel just sounds better doesn't it? "Child's Sword" and you think of some plastic thing battling Skeletor but this Kindersabel literally will cut you.
