I wish I could help but my old wore out eyes can't make out much of your button's details. Are the buttons 1 or 2 piece construction? I think the first one is a civilian flower button and I am not sure about the second one. Is that an A or a V on it?

The two piece button with shank was invented about 1835. Most we find are mid 19th century.

What’s the best way to do that without damaging them? I have the ability to do electrolysis, but I’m not sure if that will ruin them.
