That is so awesome! She is 88 years old!

Yes 88! When I realized how old the ring was I knee there was a chance the owner could have passed on by now. I was ecstatic that she is still with us!

Wow, my first thought was that I want to print out your post and frame it. Right after I re-read the story a time or two. IMO you've reached the pinnacle of metal detecting with this recovery and ensuing reunion after 69 years. I can't think of a find that would make me happier. Good for you. Now I'm going to read the post again.....

Funny you would say that...the brother Bud asked me if it was ok if he did a write up for the local paper. If that happens I will surely cut it out and save it!

Could not agree more. The only class ring I ever found I returned to the guy and a short time later found my Mass silver and cob. So you should be in for something really amazing brother
