Natural or Man Made?

I was able to send the picture to a 3rd party and have it positively ID'd. Turns out the free metadata trackers online I originally used don't reveal much.

And what did it reveal?

Could easily be an ammo box. Dozens of styles used in the past century just in the US. Add Canada and the various nations of Europe and there are easily a few hundred styles of ammo boxes of similar size.

Time for more coffee.

And what did it reveal?

I thought i answered that a few pages ago, but it's easy to miss in a fast moving thread: In Europe, a place open to visitors, natural geology.

Why would you involve a third party and not prove your claim with their metadata?
I donā€™t think you can.

Most treasure sites have a curse on them.

Hey everyone. Iā€™ll try to answer the general questions. It is in Kentucky, on the Powell/Montgomery County lives. I have never been there but the former owner sold it to her friend and said she could get me permission. Itā€™s not a major secret, she said itā€™s right off the road. Donā€™t know whatā€™s under the tree Iā€™m guessing junk. Again I think itā€™s natural just cool to look at.

Never know maybe she lied to me but she gave me directions lol. Lord a mercy

EC Mason,

I would say natural as I havenā€™t ever seen a road that wide in the woods of Kentucky or any other woods. Maybe in an European city that has preserved roads from an earlier century but definitely nothing like this has been laid down in the last hundred years. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

Yeah I agree buddy. Awesome what Mother Nature can do!

Yeah Iā€™ll check it out. Iā€™d say that if it was anything someone would have found it though. I work in Powell County but am off for the summer (Iā€™m a history teacher) but plan on driving up soon.

Erased because I thought I was replying to a particular post

And itā€™s only about an hour from me but again not interested in it enough to make that drive unless Iā€™m in the area ha ha. I wouldnā€™t mind one bit if any of you all wanted to come down and Iā€™ll gladly show it and you can look for whatever you all are seeing. The lady who gave me the pics is very sweet and in side she could get me and a buddy ir two permission. She said itā€™s literally right off the main road

EC. Mason - not finding your response this morning tells me that you are either uncertain about what to write, skeptical, or indifferent. Out of courtesy to those around you I am going to wait until after the long weekend to post what I know about locating the property. That should give you enough time to make the sixteen hour ride and to properly document the site.

If those arenā€™t your plans, let us know.

Anyway, take lots of photos and video if you go!

Cheers!

Hey man I donā€™t get on here much. I could really care less about the place lol. Next time Iā€™m in that area Iā€™ll stop by. I just thought it was cool and shared the pics. Not researched another thing about it.

Only thing Iā€™ve posted on in days is this thread. My name is Zachary Mayse from Sandy Hook KY.
Perhaps, but we are each responsible for what we post.
And activity time is noted on TN. EC. Mason has been posting since early this morning.
And not one word.

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. : (

Jeff of PA - what are the rules on posting information that would share a members identity and workplace?

Bingo my good buddy! Love reading your posts. Always logical. We need to get together sometime and do some hiking in the Gorge!

Hmm, I find all of this like building a mountain out of a mole hill.
Most of us in the Swift section of TNet are not daily visitors, I being one of the few exceptions.
My guess is E.C. Mason is enjoying some other aspect of his life...I'm sure most of the posting here is done in jest?
There are many strange things to be seen, read of, and stumbled upon in Eastern KY...these pictures are surely apart of that observation, definitely fodder for the curious.

Have you thought about confirming the location with your friend?
Seems like something you should have already done.

I asked if the limestone-pavement exposure was recent.
Please remember to ask your friend if you arenā€™t sure.

As far as whatā€™s under that tree, I wager $100 thatā€™s it not junk.
Why not share the location with KY Hiker and ask him to have a look?
He would be my choice.

Put this story to rest with an apology from GoDeep.
I still donā€™t see any reason for your friend to lie.
Remember, thatā€™s been the suggestion.

GoDeep will have to explain himself.
