Based on the age, it would be considered a 'collectible', but it's still 9 years away from officially being an 'antique'.
I would think anyone in the UK who had a family member work for 'The Metropolitan Carriage Wagon & Finance Co.' would be interested in acquiring this piece. :thumbsup:

Still a very nice 'British-related' find for having been found in the Republic of Crimea .

Thank you for the company information. What are the assumptions about the tablet? This is an inscription from the cabinet door or from the car.
Is there any historical interest?

Search Railroad "wagon builders plates" to see other similar examples. It's from a train car.

It's from a railroad car, and they are very collectable. Nice find! Here's a link to a page showing several different ones like it and there is an email address at the top of a collector who can probably tell you all about it
