Mystery Brass Pyramid Tag

I found this piece yesterday on an old homestead site along with the other finds you see pictured here. I found this site by researching 19thc. maps of my area.
This triangular stamped brass relic with a pyramid in the middle obviously attached to something, but I have no idea what it represents and would like to hear your suggestions.
