I found this at the local college campus. It was an old farm and I have found a few older coins, horseshoes, cow tags and other items from the old farm along with the usual modern coins and jewelry lost since the college was built in 1961.

I have no idea what this thing might be. It is brass and appears to be hand crafted. It has 2 holes for screw or nails in the small spade shaped end, a hole that goes all the way through the center shaft and on the heavy T end has a hole in each half of the T that are filled with rusted parts of screw or nails.

Any idea what it might be? I am stumped.

Thanks for looking and may your coil lead you to good things.

First thought... But not an exact match...

Butter churn crank mount.

Due to the fact that it looks like it was made to swivel or pivot, possibly an 'opener' for one of the school windows? :icon_scratch:

Obviously not the same, but similar.

I had the same idea at first, but it does not appear to be commercially produced and the school was built in 1961. All the hardware and materials in the buildings were made during my lifetime. My father was a builder and I grew up around building hardware and materials so I don’t think it is a window opener. Thanks for the input.
