I,m new to this hobby so I really don,t know when I find something special or valuable.

My father always told me---if you don,t know---then ask !!!

The dogtag with the two headed bird, on the right , second up from the bottom. I'm guessing that is from Southeast Alaska. The two main moieties (tribes) in that area are Tlingit and Haida. Cool find :)

That's the best part of the hobby..... finding out exactly what it really is that we found.

Not Alaska, British Columbia. It's the emblem of the HMCS Haida...a Canadian Tribal-Class Destroyer. She sunk more ships than any other Canadian warship and is the last of the Tribal Class Destroyers.

Another bit of history...nice !!

I always say------ if I learn something new ..its a good day !!!!

Just curious. I visit my buddie of 60 years there. He owns a RV park there and is the only American to own a lighthouse in Nova Scotia.

Ah ok I see.....

Cool that he owns a lighthouse....government would just as soon see them all abandoned and fall on he ground...they area beautiful part of the landscape and a part of our history.

Nice to see your finds.
