Would like everyone's input on what kind of points and possibly time period. Everything pictured came from about a 30x30 area that was scraped for a better view along a creek in NE Oklahoma. I have a shoebox full of debitage from picking up all the flakes every time I go after a rain. Is it normal to find so many different styles in such a small area?

Looks like you have a nice site there. There are probably camps all up and down that creek going back thousands of years, it would be a great place to continue searching!

Edit, I think I have those same shorts.

I've been told by the neighbors that when they used to plow the valley adjacent from this location lots of stuff was found. I'm basically just combing through the edges of the dirt they dug up after all these big rains we have had this summer. I'm hoping I can haul it all to my house soon and sift it all!

Haha got mine at Ross!

You have some pretty nice finds there. That knife in the third photo sure is a beauty, and it looks like you found some mano's also.

Thank you! Spent two year's hunting without anything. Finally found my first heartbreaker last winter in a creek. On may 5 this summer I found my first whole point in another creek the very next day 20 miles away I found this site and the first thing I found was that blade halfway down on a load of dirt they had scraped up. I have so much confidence now in what to look for and the debitage has probably been one of the coolest things because I had never seen any before.

First impression is woodland, see what looks like a waubesa base, mid woodland 2500 - 1650. Gober late woodland 1600 - 1400 and maybe a sorters bluff woodland 1300 - 600 some of the round blades could be north blades which are tools/preforms. The triangular ones could be jug hill prehistoric to historic 600-200 bp which could be Osage or the Neosho phase people what might be an alba Mississippian 1100-800 and a Dickson point just of the table in photo 2 mid woodland 2500-1650

That’s a very successful 30’x30’ location.
A little birdie told me,...more artifacts are hiding outside that boundary!!!
Congratulations! Those are very nice Ancient NA Artifacts.

Very nice finds. I used to live in Grove and always had good luck around the lake and a couple of area creeks

AWESOME COLLECTION! Gets the blood going on this Thursday afternoon!

I'd go dig some test holes and not tell a soul where this is. Good luck!

Thank you to everyone for all of the exceptional information. I am so proud of what I've found. Every piece broken or not is like a treasure to me! Eventually, once I sift through all of this dirt I'm gonna be hurting for easily accessible material. Can anyone give me any good tips on what to look for up the creek or on the other side? Unfortunately, If the ground had not been scraped or the large pit dug I would not have this collection.

Ps. I'm 32 and have never had a Facebook or any of that other junk... This is my first forum to be a part of and you guys make it a great experience. Thank you, Brett

Looks like someone’s been lurking around flint creek
