My First Silver!!

Found my first silver coin today! it's a Mercury Dime from 1917
Also found a 1977 Ike coin, a 1956 Penny and a 1976 Dime. "Just thought I might throw that in there"
And also, a whole lot of junk! I figured i would clean the Mercury dime, since it's junk silver and I want to keep it with my collection of World coins

And to top it of!! i found a Merchant coin, Good for 5 cents in trade

Stick with this hobby long enough, you will find that the Ike is way harder to find.... congrats on the 100 year old dime, and the token and other finds a solid too.

I was so excited when I first found the silver!!
And I wasn't expecting to pull an Ike out of the ground, that coin was just a little bit smaller than the hole I dug :P'

Yup, the Ike is a nice find. After years of detecting I've only found one. Congrats on the Merc dime.

The day after I found my merc I found three silver Washingtons and a walker and barber half, I thought it was easy, since then I haven't found any silver but dimes....��

My first silver was a Merc also. Found it at my Brother in law's house so I gave it to him. Since then I have found more Mercury dimes than Roosevelt. Nice job!

Congrats on your 1st silver. Like Dave said, Ike's are not easy to find. I have only dug 2 in 3 seasons. That's a nice token also. What detector were you swinging?
