Searched my backyard yesterday and I found my first silver with my new rig. I had searched my backyard before but it is full of trash. The people who lived there before me had a shop in the back and he was a welder so there is a lot of trash in the ground.

Awesome silver score. I wish my yard had more history. It was a wooded lot prior to construction back in the late 70's.

Nice silvers and that broke that AT Pro in really well. Now that it has a taste you should do well.......Congrats!

Your first silver find was a shock was it not? Tremendous way to start out metal detecting.

I'm getting ready to finish the back yard!!

Yes it was. Since I had pulled up a big wad of red clay I figured it was just another hunk of junk. I used my Pro-Pointer AT and that really helped because otherwise I may have just tossed it to the side. Once I started pulling apart the clay I finally found the dollar and it was really cool to open up the clay and see the silver looking at me!! The dimes were pretty much together or about 2" apart. They were also a shock. I have searched the yard with my coinmaster with the prism mini DD on it and really never ran across these coins. Now I'll be fair and say I really hadn't looked very hard in my backyard.

I'm super jelly over here. My back yard sucks and there is only clad in the front. All of those silvers and look great man I would die to a find a Morgan

that Morgan is in great shape. Outstandingly easy find. Bet you can't wait to break out into the rest of the world -- like your front yard :laughing3:

Is it just the angle, or is the Morgan struck off center? That is my favorite silver coin. Congrats to you. For me, the ATP was a big copper magnet. I started finding them as soon as I got the detector. Your story trumps mine! Great finds.

Congratz! That is just awesome! A morgan dollar?!? And in your own backyard! I agree....

Your first silver was a Morgan?!?!?! Go buy a lottery ticket!

Congrats on the first silver. Your yard sounds like mine. Mines early 1900's. Found my one and only silver in front yard by sidewalk. Good luck to ya.

very nice !!!!hope you find many more !!

Lol! If a silver dollar is in your back yard, and you have a metal detector, your definitely going to find it! Great job on that! The first time I found a Morgan I sat there shaking in disbelief!

I hate you! that is all.

No, Huge freaking congrats. The morgan is so awesome. Very Jealous :)

nice coin...what did it display on the ATP?

Exceptional find! The dimes to! Very cool. I would say there other coins masked in the yard

Funny thing is I have a coinmaster with the Prizm DD coil. I have searched the yard but not really that hard. With the Pro I decided to really put it to the test and dug up everything.
