my first gold & diamond ring

My wife was on her way home from her folks house when she called my cell phone. I could tell immediately something was really wrong. Amongst the sobs, I was able to make out that she had lost her wedding ring set. All of a sudden that big ol' sinking feeling hit the pit of my stomach. She told me where she was and where she thinks it might be, so out I go with the detector, a flashlight, and a desperate prayer. Within 5 minutes I had both rings of the set! Thank God! Now my wife is happy, I'm happy, I found my first gold and diamond ring, and my detector made yet another find that paid for it in one shot. What a hobby!

Thanks for the replies!

It was definitely a relief to us to see the rings come out. There were tire tracks right over them, but they look perfect.

I never have to ask or "persuade" my wife to let me go detecting or any of the other stuff I go do, but still this might help the cause a little. She's a keeper.

texaspapa- I'm not using the 250. I used a fisher CZ7 with a 12.5" sunray coil. Even the thin band part of the set rang out loud. I can pinpoint the CZ to a 2" circle with the big coil.

RR- Thanks! I was definitely the hero. She was so upset her stomach started giving her trouble :o.

I'll say that I almost never dig gold type signals because I'm usually looking in trashy areas for old silver, but seeing the gold in the dirt was a bit mesmerizing. I might just go try to find a ring or two in the park one day.

What, no pics??? lol ;D

That's great, luckely she knew where she lost them or one of us would've found them sooner or later.
My wife still has hers but wishes I'd find her another one!
