I've been detecting for a while and decided to pull the trigger on this machine. I ordered from my favorite supporting member on here Wayne and Doug from Metaldetectingstuff. Can't wait to get it in my hands and give it a run through the fields I've done very well with my at gold. I'm keeping the at gold because I get in the rivers also but plan on using the deus in the farm fields for relics. I ordered Andys book also so will be reading a lot this weekend. Good luck everyone.

Had mine now for about 2 weeks. It was a handful at first and can still find itself in the back of the car while I clear my head with a different machine. But I have found it to be a very fun machine and good as well. I have the 11" coil and have be very impressed with the small small targets it picks up. Almost frustrated with how small they are because they are so hard to find! My only regret was not waiting till summer to buy one so I could get the new 11" coil that is supposed to be tailored to salt water use. Living on the ocean it will get a lot of use. But know that I think of it, I'd rather have one for the ocean and one for land, because the salt water has a way with electronics. They're easy enough to swap out as well.

i think your going to be amazed with it compared to your other machines.i know i am with mine and i run all whites and fisher machines.absolutely love this thing.just itching for warmer weather to get out there.enjoy it my friend.trust me its worth every penny.

Congrats on your purchase. Andy's book was key for me, since this is my first detector. I found 3 wheaties 8" down yesterday.

Congrats. Love the portability, light weight, and stealthiness which do not compromise performance. Getting Andy's book is a great move to get the most out of your new tool. There are some great tweaks that may make more sense once you get used to the machine. Andy says you can set up the tones to sound just like your trusty AT Pro/Gold machines, its just that customizable. Down the road, you may even want to attend one of Andy's one-day boot camp sessions if he holds one near by or just ask here if you are not sure about something or are having trouble. It's more of a tones machine than a vdi machine like the AT Pro/Gold. The differences may throw you off at first, but just keep at it. Just like your AT Pro and AT Gold are ideal under different conditions and depending on what you are hunting for, the Deus will excel under many conditions, but you may find that you will prefer your AT machines under other circumstances. It will just take some trial and error. Good luck.

Thanks for the response and I'm sure I'll love learning it. I love my Garrett machines but wanted this machine also. I'm a tone guy so it makes sense to me to go with this machine. I'm sure my at gold won't collect dust as I love that machine. The at pro just doesn't get used as much but it's a good machine also. I'm sure I'll be asking questions on here because of all the knowledge on here. Thanks again.

I VE just started with MD. I bought the deus because of being so light weigh. I am so glad I did. So I dont know how to compare. I think you will like your new machine

If it will pull old coppers out in iron infested fields along with a few silvers and relics like my at gold can I'll be ecstatic.

Get ready to have a new era ushered in.

Surprise for me today!!!! My deus showed up a day earlier and can't wait to check it out when home from work. [emoji50][emoji50][emoji2][emoji2]

Put it together and charged it. Played with it a little in house then went out in yard covered with snow and played. Went over test garden and hit every target. I sure have a lot to learn with this machine but it will be fun. I got cold fast so headed back in house but not before hitting good sounding targets in yard so will dig them in future. Andy's book is on way so will do some reading. Any advice you can give me will help. Prob won't detect much for a bit while this snow melts but will practice for sure. Thanks for any advice. Good luck everyone.

This thing unlocks every spot you've ever detected over before with other detectors. Go marvel at targets you missed at old spots. May the force be with you.

I also got mine in the winter by the time I could dig I air tested everything in the house I think I could tell the difference between a matchbox and a hot wheels experience will be your best teacher until then read and research a great spot is still king if it's not under your coil it can't be found
