Nice haul! :hello2: :headbang: When I enlarged your photo, I could see the large cents well but the small ones were still too dark to make out. If your computer has a good photo program, you could lighten up your photos next time you post something cool like these coins - that way everyone could see them well! (this advice from ole lady who after 3 years still hasn't figured out how to upload her many photos of detecting finds to t-net, lol. That's why I don't yet have my avator silver dollar up yet, boo-hoo! :dontknow:) HAVE FUN! :cat: Andi

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Vey nice finds! Conrats.

I love early copper. Nice finds. I also found a 1807/6 a number of years ago. Draped bust is great to find.

Don't get so discouraged, there are so many post, they get lost in a sea of threads, I can't see your pix for some reason, maybe that is the problem? You have found by far more great finds then anyone even comes close. I want to see those pix!

I can not access the Pics either.
You listed many Coins I have never found ,like (Any type of 3 Center , never dug A LC, 1 IH in the past 5 years)
Tho I have been Blessed with a couple Capped Coins 1 dime Holed , & a beautiful Capped Half Dime.
Was your Quarter A Capped One? If so I likely would have voted banner on that one. As it's something I really want to dig.
I would love to have dug any of your coins in the past 5 months

I have come not to expect too much from this site or from other relic hunting Venues that I partake in.

Heck my wife would not know a Capped Bust from a regular coin , except the question What is it Worth?..LOL

I guess you are right you cant expect much, the coins are sitting in the pile with all the others,i just liked to show my finds, and judging by other posts from the northeast that seem to have a cult following, finds like this in this area are rare.. here is 1 of the capped quarts

Holy crap! awesome finds!! I really love old American coins...the design is stunning! You have a great collection going...keep it up. As posted already, don't get discouraged. I posted my banner find on another forum and only got two comments lol

Your spot and your finds I dream about, that site of yours is so great, keep it under your hat, and keep digging, your doing a great job so far, I wish I could find half of what you have found!

WOA!!
Sweet Capped Quarter (with only 398,000 minted ) Id be one happy guy & the condition borders on VG 8 IMO,
Awesome Draped Bust Cent As well.

Thanks for posting.

Nice finds, the silver is strikes me as odd because the raised designs are worn like they have been circulated and not dug. Dug silver is generally all the same color....odd.

Can we get a picture of all the other coins and some close ups of all of the overdates?

HH all!

Greg

I beg too differ on your opinion about the Silver.

OK, sure......here's the way I see it.....a silver coin, completely covered in dirt for at least a hundred years, WILL NOT come out of the ground with clean designs and dirty fields.....right?......right......however, silver coins that have circulated for at least a hundred years (hell, even for 5 years) will have clean designs and dirty fields because, well, that's the highest point that touches our hands as they circulate........so, the only way I see this happening to a dug coin is if someone living underground has been handling the coin.

HH all!

There is another conclusion, they were recently lost.(from a collection)

So you say I dug this 100 years ago,and circulated it,then presented it..nice opinion.....Odd
All I can say is look to the stain on the rim, thats a high point and,if circulated like you say,i would not see that stain there, also since you seem to be the expert on dug coins, can you explain the dif colors on the obv rev
you seem to be very sure of yourself, when as I remember I was alone that day,and since no mod seems to think your comments are out of line I will say it...Do you know the exact soil composition this silver came from or the conditons, location,or position

Looking at you account, being started in 2006,you have seen plenty of silver just like mine, unless this is your secondary account you use to vent

Here is a picture of an old dug silver, my avatar......notice how everything is uniform in color, the stars and the bust do not stand out versus the rest of the field....and why would they?.....they have all been sitting in and touching the same dirt.......yours are odd in the way that all of the devices are clean and the fields are dirty, like an un-dug, simply circulated old coin......I never said you didn't dig them (that would be against the rules) but after 30 years of swinging I have never seen this happen in nature. Maybe like Crusader said, dropped recently from someone's collection.

Also, I had asked in an earlier post about maybe seeing a picture of all of the other coins you found recently. Could you do that for us?.....it might help me understand your soil conditions a little better.
HH all!

Greg

No you implied, just the same, but whatever,my coin doesn't look like yours so its not dug ...sorry...Its funny your coin has dark spots low and is clean high, does this mean your coin is not dug
But by all means the 2 of you implying another conclusion, please come forth with evidence
