Most morbid find yet

Hold it until Halloween and flip it for $100+ profit. Where else will you get a return like that in 9 months

Very interesting find! :occasion14:

looks like a victorian baby coffin, i would throw it up on ebay for $2500.00 obo, expect to sit on it a while, but the right buyer will eventually come along. saw one sell on auction with liner in better condition years ago for 5000+

KAH REEP EEE however if you like it I am happy for ya. 12 bucks seems like a score!

Yes that is interesting.

How old do you think it is? Can you determine the age by they manner of which the wood planks are joined? I don't think I have seen that joint type before.

There was a TV show a few years back. Their website is: Obscura

They bought and sold oddities and morbids. Their show was on science channel if I remember correctly.

I have dealt with Mike Zohn in the past, a down to earth guy. In your case under earth guy.

I used to watch that show. It was called Oddities. They also had a second show called Oddities: San Francisco.

It would be a great place to store your finds and display them.

Sold for $200 at my booth in antique store. Only took 3 days...

Nice. I think it would have brought more, but it would take up too much space waiting for the right buyer.

Obscura Antiques & Oddities in San Francisco might buy it off you.

Good return on your $12.00

You could also try Jack Mord of Thanatos Archive or Art of Mourning (an Instagram account with a large following), they specialize in antique postmortem photography and mourning jewelry, respectively, but could at least point you toward the right buyer. There is definitely a market for this stuff.
