In the last two weeks working at blockbuster, I have found a silver war nickel and a silver roosevelt dime...which is two more silver coins than I have found with the ole' Land Star... :?

Gotta keep looking and not get discouraged! But the evidence is mounting in favor of me buying a better detector :x

Wow!! Three in one roll?? They do seem to come in groups...yesterday I got a 40, 46, and 50 nickels out of one roll. One of the rolls in which I found a silver nickel had two more from the 40's in it. But actually I have been on quite a drought lately at Blockbuster....

Land Star is working fine for me

I've had a BH Land Star for just 3 weeks now and I've turned up a number of good finds...

2 silver Roosevelt dimes
1 silver Wash quarter
1 silver Swedish 2 Kroner coin
1 Indian Head penny - 1873
4 sterling silver rings
1 civil war button with CT state insignia
About $15-$20 in clad
Numerous interesting metal objects like toys from the 50s (guns and cars), old fishing lures, bullets.

Don't give up on the Land Star yet! I've been very happy with it so far.

I used to be a manager at a very popular fast food chain, and loved to count down the drawers at night. Lots of foreign coins, as well as good silver, and even some good old 1950's bills. I also saved any bills with a lot of writing on them just as a curiosity. I also saved all the half dollars, and have over $40.00 worth now. Where I work now, we get old couches and furniture, and we mash them with a loader before throwing them away. One guy found a 187? Silver dollar, with a O mint mark. He wouldn't sell it though....... daarnit
