some wanted more pics so here are some. I forgot to add the depths of the three coins. They were 3 1/2 to 4 inches. So that seems weird that you get a coin 200 years old, that's only 4 inches deep. Yet, you get a coin 10 years old, that is 6 inches deep. Well, anyway, thanks for the feedback and enjoy your holiday.

Ye
considering the land floods a lot well see what els I find out their . Thanks

Dang that is beautiful coin. The ground was very kind to her, amazing. I found an 1801 Drap Bust a few weeks ago, but she was no where as nice as yours. Congrats!

Very very nice.........great find!!!

Nice find and nice coin! If the Reverse cleans up as good as the Obverse, I could see her getting a VF-20 to VF-25 Net Grade. If so, she could fetch $600+ on a good day. Good luck if you decide to sell her!

Good condition for a 1802, it is a Sheldon 231, Rarity 1 die cracks on Obverse and stemless wreath on Reverse make for IDing your coin.

Oh- that really is one of the sweetest Draped Bust coppers I've ever seen posted here - you have a real honey hole there apparently ! (I'm just this side of a BANNER vote on that beauty queen )

Didnt Know It Was Possible For A Draped Bust To Come Out Of The Ground beautiful. REALLY nice Find! Let Us Know What You Plan On Doing With It!

Don, I see a fraction bar. Check it out again for dandut46. Thanks.
wagbert

No need to check again. Of course it has a fraction bar, it does not have stems on the wreath...............

Beautiful find for a draped bust large cent. What makes it more interesting to me is I found the same variety a little over a month ago. Although it wasn't as high a grade as yours, it came out of the ground quite nice for an 1802 large cent. I'm wondering if this batch of coins was struck on blanks that were a slightly different alloy. Most draped busts LC's come out of the ground really corroded, but your piece and the one I found don't seem to be that way. Here's the one I found.
