I got out to the old park again today with my dad for about 7 hours. Boy oh boy was it hard goin', but we managed a few keepers. We each found just 4 coins, but they were all old. I got two IH's dated 1899 and 1904. I also found two V nickels dated 1890 and 1892. My dad found an IH dated 1905, a V nickel dated 1890, a wheatie dated 1910 and last but not least an 1890 seated liberty dime. Hope you enjoy the pictures! Happy hunting everybody!

I see that you already have had 2 great days at the park. I am sure that area will still produce for you in the near future.

Love the seated. Sounds like the newer stuff has been cleaned out. Now you are getting down to the really good finds. Congrats.

Great finds there I really like those seated coins congrats.

Thanks for all the replies. Spartacus53, we have been hunting this park all year. It is all woods now and it closed in 1916, so everything dug has been old. between all of us that have been hunting this place we have come up with about 100 IH 38 pieces of silver(seated, barber and old canadian), 30 V nickels, 3 shield nickels, 1 large cent, 1 flying eagle, 2 gold rings, 1 silver ring and about 20 early wheats. It has been a dream place to hunt. I think we will be hunting it for a while! Happy Hunting everyone!
