Garrett ACE 400, Nokta Simplex+, Nokta Legend, Nokta Accupoint
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
It was freezing cold this morning but I got out for a short hunt. Went to a spot that is so littered with trash that it's almost impossible to use the detector, but it's close by so I gave it a whirl.
Access to this spot is from a trailhead that's mostly used by dog walkers.
As I don't like walking without detecting, I fired up the Legend at the car and headed down the path. Got a good tone 10 feet into the trail and pulled up a 925 earring from the sandy soil.
Once I got to the old house site I was getting a scratchy but consistent high tone that was barely audible through all the iron grunts. I dug it and it was an aluminum jar lid with the glass insert still intact. This is the first undamaged one I've ever found.
The tube top is marked "Rexall" with a fancy raised pattern and was the only other decent tone I got out there.

I really just needed to get out of the house and stretch my back out. I didn't really expect to find anything, so I'm pretty pleased.
