Greetings friends---Hope I am not getting annoying with all these posts lately. :tongue3:
For the last two afternoons I returned to that hot spot in the cornfield and found these.
The Rough LC is 1835 I think.
The Artillery button is early 1800s---I have not been able to find a pic of one exactly like it on line.
The small Eagle button has no shank---It is the smallest Eagle I have found.
The 1852 LC is the best condition of any I have found. It won't need the tumbler.
It cleaned up pretty well with some Ultra Brite toothpaste.
Thanks for looking and best luck to all. Merf

Thanks Damien-------Get some old maps and find the locations where farm houses used to be but are just fields now and I am sure you will make some good finds.

Thanks Diggincoinz, Plehbah, Jimmy, Jerry, Neil, and Gregory.

Merf, Nice finds. Was there an old battlefield
or milatary camp in the area? Jim.

Congratz Merf ... the large coppers are very nice and the Eagle button is cool ... that corn field is one sweet spot for you ... keep huntin it as long as you can ( the farmers have planted all of my prime spots now) ... wishing you continued good fortune ~ Jimmy

GREAT FINDS MAN!! Did this field used to be something else, or did you just pick a random field and start MDing it?? I'm always interested in the history...

Thanks Grog----The spot I am hunting in the field is shown as where a house was on an 1870 map.
The road is no longer there----Prolly was just a dirt road.

Thanks Lonewolfe
