Greetings friends---Hope I am not getting annoying with all these posts lately. :tongue3:
For the last two afternoons I returned to that hot spot in the cornfield and found these.
The Rough LC is 1835 I think.
The Artillery button is early 1800s---I have not been able to find a pic of one exactly like it on line.
The small Eagle button has no shank---It is the smallest Eagle I have found.
The 1852 LC is the best condition of any I have found. It won't need the tumbler.
It cleaned up pretty well with some Ultra Brite toothpaste.
Thanks for looking and best luck to all. Merf

WTG Merf! I was wondering if it was as muddy in that field as it is here near St. Louis..digging conditions here are soggy to say the least..standing water in some fields.

Keep on "annoying" us anytime you find things like those!

Nice job,
Nat

Merf,
You are amazing Sir! :icon_king: That LC has nice sharp detail. What a find.
Great artillery button too. Here are a few I found in Albert's button book. Look pretty close.
Any back mark?
Congrats again,
MM

Thanks MM----Those pics in the book are close but the eagles wings are a little different.
Maybe just a variation.
The back of the button is EXTRA rich colour. No Mfgr.
