This stuff gets in your blood and there is no cure. Before you know it, your daughter will be trading in that traditional young lady stuff for a spade and trowel. Then she'll be wanting to pursue graduate work in the area of archaeology or anthropology. Not a bad way for a young lady to spend her time. My kids are getting slowly sucked in as well. Beats the video games! Stay in there,
Docmann

I wish it could be so but the reality is that she has already started her own family with little time for additional schooling. I do have hopes not only for my younger children but my grandchildren as well.

It is nice to see that (with the help from Neo) my children are starting to take a huge interest in collecting
as a whole. The have been pestering me to get them out to a few fields I have permission to hunt but
the crops are not fully out yet, I prefer to wait as I would hate to disrupt any agricultural work.

The next trick will be to convince my children to join me in helping the farmers for a few weekends, in
appreciation for them allowing us the use of their land. Fantastic idea and thread Neo.

How cool. . I'd be interested in whatever it is your sending. .are they for sure real things or something?
I come here often just to look at things and then go and study my "rock collection" to see if I can see something that makes me think artifact for sure. I try to get my boy to go and he does but he likes to look for snakes to shoot!! still beats endless video games.

Everything will be and is the real deal,I found them my self...If ya look back at my other posts you can prolly see them after I found them.

I will add ya to the list if ya like just shoot me your addy.

Your son can do both at the same time!I seel all kinds of animals while I am out...But your right ..It sure beats the T.V games...

Very nice of you to help the new people interested in this, and to give them a first hand look at and feel of true artifacts, to help them in the learning process.

Why does he want to shoot snakes?

He wouldn't admit it but I think he is scared of them. I personally am scared of them too but I just go the other way. He loves his bb gun and shoots at everything, grasshoppers, wasps, snakes, He killed a rabbit once ( his first one ) I had to teach him his first hunting lesson - don't kill unless you are going to use it. I don't mind when he kills the grasshoppers and wasps though. The point I was making is that he is not much interested in the rocks unless he is throwing them at the snakes - he prefers to metal detect

Sorry it took me so long, but I am shipping them out today for ya;ll.....
I made a set just for you Mermer...hope that you like it and it helps out..

Yeah Mir Mir
Now you can teach him that he needs to eat everything he shoots. Its called the transitional BB phase from the rear squirel complex. Where they stopped shooting everything and only ate what they shot. :icon_sunny:

Well they are off!!lol...Ya'll should have them soon...

Thanx again for the big  gang just tryin to do my part...

Now see? there is a real desire to share knowledge here, not just horde artifacts. The "archies" who lable all collecters as looters of history are missing something. We all "own" human history don't we? Sharing is one of our better traits.

You and your clan rock Neo!

:occasion14:....

You are so right hun...History belongs to us all,and can be found all over!Arrow heads, fossils, gem stones...Heck even coin spills can take us back in time.So anytime I can Encourage others to take a look around, works for me ..lol...I am so happy that this little project has taken off. With the support of wonderful members(they will go un-named)and some time,I can see this haveing some staying power. :notworthy: :notworthy:

Neo, shoot me an addy and I'll donate some kill site knives and specimens to help out in this great project. I read at another site that you may be coming up my way in Oct., if so, maybe we can get together then and I'll just give them to you....

:headbang: :hello2: :headbang: :hello2:

oh boy!, oh boy!, oh boy! I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas! My son just called me at work and told me that a package had arrived for me. When I asked him what it was he said arrowheads! Wow it must be the real deal thing ( not like most of the rocks in my rock garden that much imagination must be used to think it is something ) oh boy! oh boy! oh boy!

Thank you so much neogeo :icon_thumright: You are the man! Can't wait to get home. Hope I don't get too heavy footed and ole' smokey catches me ;D. Thanks for making me feel like a kid again :icon_sunny: You ROCK. I'll let you know what I think later.

oh boy! oh boy! oh boy!

Neo,
Keep up the good work.
For any of you who might be in the Oklahoma City area, there is an Outdoor Expo at the Lazy E in Guthrie this weekend. A large number of activities and demonstrations, and flintknapping is scheduled! It is entirely free.
