I had to dig up the box just to see ...and No they did not use sig confirmation they used delivery confirmation ..The order was sent in 5 good size boxes and I got only 1 in return. Paypal/Ebay already took the money from my paypal account and refunded the buyer because it was shown as returned. I have to look into filing an appeal but it all is just a complete waste of time. If calling them and them seeing on the screen for themselves what has happened then how is filing an appeal going to do any good ? They just puttin me off on the phone ? If they are a banking institution and a customer calls and complains shouldn't there be action ? I had it happen some yrs back with game used sportscards, wasn't quite as high amount but it was enough of them in weight that a returned brick was almost the exact weight. Got took to the cleaners on that as well ... but for as much as I've lost on ebay, it's still the best place to move bulk size lots of anything ...can't do that on amazon and there lies the problem. Who has time to sell individually ? such a grind ... I should file an appeal yes ..but the stress it creates out weighs any gains when I've already reserved myself to just being done with them finally. With them coming down for the govy on everyone it'll just be a matter of time before the weekend flea markets be bumpin again like they use to could.
I've had money refunded to me in a similar situation even after they refunded the buyer. You NEED to file an appeal. They screwed up. You didn't. Here is how to file an appeal- https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=security/seller_problem_resolution I wouldn't wait. A $1000 is alot of money to loose to some scumbag.

The guy that cut you off on the freeway is called a "feeway spokesperson". LOL I think this country has gone way too far with this PC bullsh!z. Talk about reterded. Oh excuse me "mentally challenged" ::) ::) ::)

Well, I finally got some resolution to my 21 day money hold. I had sent a very polite but strong email to Paypal stating how I was an Ebay Member in good standing for many years. I have had many transactions with never a challenge to any of my sales. I also stated that I would hate to take my business to Amazon, so any assistance they could give would be greatly appreciated.

Their response to my email was a form email that didn't say squat. I was highly perturbed. About a week ago, I got an email survey from Paypal Customer Relations asking me about my recent dealings with their Customer Relations Dept. I filled every box provided with statements as to how angry I was that they so little valued my business that their only reply to my issue was a form letter (email). That my problem not only hadn't been resolved, but their lack of personal assistance only exacerbated it.

Three days later, I got an email that stated my money would no longer be held. HAHAHAHAHA Squeaky wheel I guess!

I was wondering what word got deleted. ??? ???

I refuse to use the politically correct word of the day, I just get tired of hearing a new one for the same thing every year or two. I don't use racial epithets, but I also don't call any race what they want to be called this month.

Please don't use denigrating terms here at TreasureNet. Thanks.ed in the state of NJ? I am honest to god telling the truth

Actually "mentally challenged" is no longer PC either. Per the recently passed Rosa's Law, the correct term is now "Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities" :tongue3:

Yeah, not to mention "developmentally delayed". Ridiculous. I just want to know when the human population (particularly the freaks in this country) became such a bunch of limp wristed, thin skinned, overly protective, easily offended, panty wearing, sissies? Isn't there a medical term called mental retardation? Or did they get rid of that too cause someone's feelings got hurt? Boo freakin hoo!! Hock pugh! I can't stand it!!

Don't blame the mods, it's not their doing. It's a sniffer program that sniffs out certain words and automatically deletes them. It must be mentally challenged though, because it's a little slow at doing it's job. It's not the moderator that's doing it, it's the program. As you can see it even removed the word when I used the word with an ending on it, leaving only the ending- ation.
If I would have spaced it out like this- mental re tardation, it would not have been automatically deleted.

I haven't sold anything, since the hold was put on my account, and I got this e-mail today. Kinda makes ya wonder if they really have a clue as to what it is that they're trying to do. Here it is:

We're writing to let you know that starting today, funds from payments you receive will no longer be placed in a pending balance due to payment holds.

What about money that’s still on hold?
You'll be able to withdraw money that's currently in a pending balance due to payment holds within 21 days of payment (as long as there's no dispute, chargeback, claim, return or reversal).

The money currently set aside may be available even sooner if we can confirm the item was delivered or you received positive feedback on eBay.

Will my payments be held in the future?
We may continue to evaluate your account to determine if it's necessary to hold payments again. If we determine that it's necessary, we'll email you. Funds from eBay sales may continue to be delayed based on selling history and performance.

For more information and tips on what you can do to avoid having future payments placed in a pending balance, please see our Frequently Asked Questions.

This is bs I have been selling for years. 241 feedback. The did this to me also. I shipped a couple items yesterday. The funds were free. Now these funds are on hold as well as ones that sold last night. I don't even have the funds released. I called eBay. She said the basically give a credit to ship then I reimburse after the funds are released. Well trying to print my shipping label, PayPal asks me to transfer money from my bank. Cyber Monday and I can't spend the money I made for Christmas from my PayPal.

Ebay is horrible for sellers. Their rules on contradictory and they do as they want no matter the legal ramifications. Sell on craigslist.

HH,

Several days from now, you will receive a customer relations survey via email from Paypal. Don't be rude, but tell them how displeased you were with their customer assistance. How you requested live assistance, but all you got was a form email that was no help at all. Say how yopu have been a member in good standing with ebay for XXXX number of years, and you would hate to take your sales to Amazon and Craig's List if this isn't cleared up quickly. Explain how Christmas was the absolute worst time for them to do this to you and your family. Blah, Blah, Blah.

It worked for me, hopefully it will work for you.

Best-Mike
