Well, I finally got some resolution to my 21 day money hold. I had sent a very polite but strong email to Paypal stating how I was an Ebay Member in good standing for many years. I have had many transactions with never a challenge to any of my sales. I also stated that I would hate to take my business to Amazon, so any assistance they could give would be greatly appreciated.
Their response to my email was a form email that didn't say squat. I was highly perturbed. About a week ago, I got an email survey from Paypal Customer Relations asking me about my recent dealings with their Customer Relations Dept. I filled every box provided with statements as to how angry I was that they so little valued my business that their only reply to my issue was a form letter (email). That my problem not only hadn't been resolved, but their lack of personal assistance only exacerbated it.
Three days later, I got an email that stated my money would no longer be held. HAHAHAHAHA Squeaky wheel I guess!
Mike
I haven't sold anything, since the hold was put on my account, and I got this e-mail today. Kinda makes ya wonder if they really have a clue as to what it is that they're trying to do. Here it is:
We're writing to let you know that starting today, funds from payments you receive will no longer be placed in a pending balance due to payment holds.
What about money that’s still on hold?
You'll be able to withdraw money that's currently in a pending balance due to payment holds within 21 days of payment (as long as there's no dispute, chargeback, claim, return or reversal).
The money currently set aside may be available even sooner if we can confirm the item was delivered or you received positive feedback on eBay.
Will my payments be held in the future?
We may continue to evaluate your account to determine if it's necessary to hold payments again. If we determine that it's necessary, we'll email you. Funds from eBay sales may continue to be delayed based on selling history and performance.
For more information and tips on what you can do to avoid having future payments placed in a pending balance, please see our Frequently Asked Questions.
