Monster Anchor anyone have any info o age?

hi guys this anchor is from 1888 and anchor of a spanish galleon from the looks of it and you can auction this anchor and its worth 1millionUSD

If I auction it ... will you bid on it. Starting bid $999,999. Rare indeed, I haven't seen an 1888 Galleon anchor since the 1700's.

I guess he would have to weigh it..It seems they go by weight to determine the size of the ship..Then go from there..

I would say this is the anchor here.Looks exact!

The only way it would be worth a $Million is if there was a shipwreck attached to the end of it!

Yep nobody looks at books anymore!
Now if it was in the late 1700's or so who was sailing the Atlantic coast at that time? 9 years after the so-called end of the Revolution..
The weight of it would determine the size of the ship it was on..I have a chart to compare weight to ship in that book pdf..

I believe the dimensions are also shown in the reference book?

Good luck.

it can be worth millions because those anchor collectors around the world my friends

I think we are really keen to hear your evidence that folks spend a million dollars on anchors. I keep a close eye on the salerooms and frankly, I've not spotted that trend. Where have you seen this?

I've brought a few anchors up with lift-bags but nothing like this size.:laughing7:

then there are $millions around every corner in Florida and the UK. Cant swing a dead cat around without hitting one.
