I will never ever choose to be a victim, I may indeed one day, but it will never be by my choice and it will never happen because I did not have something with me to defend myself.....

Doesn't "freedom of speech" give you the right to speak?
Doesn't "freedom of religion" give you the right to pray?
I believe the founding fathers took it for granted that common sense would prevail when it came to granting us the "right to bear arms". I don't think they meant we could just murder people at will nor can we practice a religion of throwing virgins into volcanoes to appease the fire gods. Practical interpretation was their likely goal, not legal mumbo jumbo.

Although this seems to be one of those facts of life that cannot be argued, I always wondered what happened to the wiring that makes them use such tortured logic and deprives them of common sense.
