Misc data and adventures of a Tayopa treasure hunter

WOW. THIS IS THE FIRST ONE THAT I HAVE SEEN SINCE. ED T POSTED ABOUT THE DIAMOND. ON THE SIXTEENTH.

I THINK I MAY HAVE A GLITCH IN MY SETTINGS.

THIS SMARTPHONE THINKS IT KNOWS MORE THAN I DO ABOUT WHAT I LIKE AND DON'T LIKE.

I'LL FIGURE OUT WHAT I DID TO TICK IT OFF THIS TIME AND CATCH UP NOW THAT I KNOW THERE IS A BAD SETTING.

THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW.

Well l finally made it back and ed is leaving? I have only made it back this far. Haven't seen my own thread yet.
It's good to be typing again.

I left for a while, but came back. Some of the people I corresponded with left also. Most never returned and it left a void in my heart as some were daily forum friends. I finally came back but it has taken a while to get back to posting much. This site is addicting if you have the passion for treasure tales and stories of adventure. After all, is life not one big adventure? I understand why some people leave and some never return. Good Luck on your new adventures and may fate treat you kindly. rockhound

Ed time can be spent quite eaily here on the net while you are physicaly enjoying SSDI in Caracas, honest. :coffee2::coffee2: Sdes ya can't get good sock coffee down there.

Ed, there are a number of lawyers in the L.A. area that will take traffic ticket cases. I've used one in San Diego (unfortunately he doesn't go out of San Diego County) several times. I have never had a conviction, and the lawyer typically costs around 1/2 of the price of the ticket....

My wife told me last night that I escaped the demons of the mine yet again.
I WAS rescued by three men that pulled from a rip tide.
I had only one chance to call for help and the three men turned and pulled me from certain death.

Once again I slipped thru the grip of that mine

A man with nine lives, or guardians.
Careful Mikel!

Some data most are likely already aware of.
Mercury was a great treasure of the Spanish king at one time.
It's use in amalgamation making gold and silver mines control almost secondary, the mercury being under control could be used to get an idea how much processing was occurring.
Diego Fernandez's writing contains lots of reference to mercury use.
Too it gives some idea of the differences between South and North America in mines spacing allowance and reduced kings share and some mining methods.(page 49.)

:coffee2: The Spanish also used balls of mercury to detect minerals in the field, just like you would use a detector today.np:cat:

Does mercury have magnetic properties ??
I've never thought about trying that out....

:coffee2:There are a lot of things in the past that we will not or cannot explain today,If so then there would be no treasure hunting, because we would already know were everything was.np:cat:
