Mirage: Nana's Good Fortune!
Well after a fun evening chatting over dinner with Mirage last night, he must have seen fit to leave me some of that Ohio good luck!
The temps finally decided to fall into the 70's here. So today I went to a nearby town where we have permission to hunt a site that has had the house torn down. If you've hunted such a site, then you already know how there's no way of gauging the era of finds just from the depth of which you find them. The first couple of finds were coins laying on top of the ground. A penny here and there. I started finding wheat pennys (found six in all) and odd and in junque. After an hour or so of hunting, I got a great little bleep and the screen said 43. HMMM...not much telling what it is, so I dig it. Turns out, it's a gold class ring from 1963! WooHoo! I've started the seach!
Not far from the ring I found a tax token! Haven't found one of them in a week or so, so I was due.
I found two bullets that look rather old...guesses anyone?
I also found some wings! It's a pin....no idea on the age of this one either...

Gotta love those teardowns, as no telling what will turn up when they tear up the soil. Take your time, sweep slow.
