Could you set it up so you rake with one hand to dislodge and shoot water with the other, might work well with some current. Of course in your situation slow and steady keeps you well below radar.

Save yourself a lot of trouble with generators etc if you get or borrow a small gasoline trash pump, the difference will be worth it

True - am thinking for the cost, would be better?

1.5 inch might be better, also 4 stroke

A 2 inch really moves some water, might be a bit much, but you could dump some water pressure from the hose before it gets to the blow site if a 2 inch is easier to get
