Meteorite or just a black rock?

Definitely formed here on earth. No bubbles on meteorites- your instinct is correct.
 

Should have some thumbprints in your rock really, the outside reminds me of black beauty, and the holes can appear on moon rocks maybe you can break it open and show us the inside and find out if a magnet sticks to it, magnets can stick to slag waste also but i think the other guys may be right

Thank you! It appears that all I have is a boring black rock with interesting lines on the outside. :) Not magnetic. No crust. No thumbprints. Your response lead me to some informative sites, however, so I know what to look for in a real meteorite. View attachment 1880287
 

Some meteorites do indeed have gas bubbles or what are known as vesicles but it is not common and they are rare. What is also interesting about your find is the front side, it sure has the hallmarks of a fresh fall meteorite. I would encourage you to have find checked out.
 

Those gas bubbles are way to large, it is not a meteorite
