WOW! All this and not one pull tab! Matter of fact, hardly any trash at all. Only good research and some luck will help you find these spots. I doubt this place has ever had a detector on it until today. Today, it's just a big wide open 50 acre soybean field. During the years 1933-1936, this spot was a 4th of July community pic nic and political rally. The Grand Ole Opry visited in 1935 and Minnie Pearl was in attendance. Deepest dig was 5 inches into some very nice soft soil. Most coins were at 3 inches or less, many at one inch....probably due to plowing. I was surprised at the lack of quarters or halves.

I didn't expect to find the exact spot today so I didn't allow myself nearly enough time to "rape" it. 24 coins in two hours....WOW!
Gotta be more.

Dimes: 1897, 1901 O, 1911D, 1917, 1918D, 192x, 1929, 1934, 1935

Buffalo's: 1934, 1936

Wheaties: 13 total, dates unreadable as of today.

Have difficulty posting pic's today...will try to get one up soon.

I could meet you in Etown.....only three hours from there!

I do have a real good spot in Lexington if you're interested.....old high school (1910-1967). About two acres worth, turns up some good coins. Not too much trash.

Sounds like a great site. For an oppurtunity to hunt a place like that. I'd bring my own blind fold. A weeks supply of them and even ware them while detecting, with one hand tied behind my back, and hopping on one leg. Looking forward to seeing your finds. HH

I could go and find treasure blind folded anyday.
Sounds like fun.
Wow what a find. Just goes to show there is still virgin territory sill out there.
Let's go find it.
Happy hunting to you.
Can't wait to see some pictures.
Rob

Great finds! Seems like you are locked in on the dimes, Maybe you will dig some quarters next trip. Good luck. Tsgman
